Our 50th Day of Kindergarten

On November 5th we celebrated the 50th day of kindergarten.  The boys and girls dressed as children did in the 50's.  We had a lot of discussions of what it was like in the 50's and what children did for fun.  We looked at pictures from the 50's and discovered that man of the things we have they had back then too but they might look a little different.  We also discovered that some things we have today were not available in the 50's - like computers, iPads, and Gameboys.  All in all the day was a lot of fun!

Halloween

We had a great time on Halloween!  The boys and girls wore their costumes to school and right away in the morning we had a parade around the building.  It was so much fun to see all the costumes.  Later in the day we had a party!  We made spiders and ghosts with suckers and we made a caramel apple into a ghost.  The boys and girls also put their hands in bags to feels "brains", "eyeballs", etc.  It was so much fun!

Welcome to our class blog!

I hope this blog gives you a good idea of what we are doing each week in Kindergarten and is a place you can find information easily. I will try and post new updates as much as possible!

We have had a very busy first week of school!  The boys and girls have been busy learning new friends' names and getting used to the classroom routine.  I am really impressed with how well everyone is doing!  I do believe this will be another great year in kindergarten!
